EXPRESS CURVY PETITE DENIM REVIEW

If you read my first Express review about their petites line back in January, then you know that prior to that I had no idea they offered petites. Similarly, I also had no idea that they carried curvy fit denim, which is literally made for our body type. Since I tried these jeans around the same time as the American Eagle curvy fit denim, I decided to compare and contrast the two! The main differences are that Express’ jeans are more expensive, however the denim material they use feels like a higher quality.

WIT & WISDOM PETITE JEANS REVIEW

A few months back, one of my readers reached out to me and recommend that I try out Wit & Wisdom jeans. Prior to this I’d never heard of the brand, but I’m always down to give a new pair of jeans a try. Happy to report that this brand makes super comfortable, pear-friendly jeans that won’t break the bank! Keep reading for the full reviews of the styles I tried.

REDENIM PERSONAL SHOPPING REVIEW

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’m always on the hunt for denim. While I’ve managed to find some reliable brands for me like Levi’s and Everlane, I’m always open to trying new brands. One company I recently found through Instagram is called Redenim, which is dedicated to helping women find high-quality, premium denim that fits them. So I decided to give them a try :)

EVERLANE AUTHENTIC STRETCH DENIM REVIEW

After hearing rave reviews from my sister about Everlane’s Authentic Stretch denim, I decided to head to their store and try it on for myself. As someone who generally has a hard time finding jeans that fit, I was overall pretty impressed by their products. In addition to their Authentic Stretch jeans, Everlane also has their original denim line they launched prior to Authentic Stretch. Between the two lines, I was definitely a bigger fan of their Authentic Stretch styles because they fit me better in the waist. Sharing my thoughts below on a few of the styles!

MY FIRST STITCH FIX BOX!

I’ve always wanted to try out Stitch Fix and recently decided to give them a try. Stitch Fix is definitely a nice alternative to shopping at stores in NYC, which can always a little bit crazy. (Those of you who live here know, going to Zara at 2pm on Saturday is pretty much always a bad idea because the dressing room lines are out of control!)

When I signed up for Stitch Fix, the first step in the process was filling out a style quiz to share the clothing sizes I generally wear and my style preferences. Definitely make sure you carve out some time to do the quiz portion because it’s probably took me about 15 minutes. Once I completed quiz, all I had to do was schedule my “fix” frequency. Not gonna lie, I have ton of clothes in my closet right now so I picked the quarterly frequency for the time being. However, I can still change the frequency or cancel whenever I want.

My box arrived about 2 weeks after scheduling the quiz. (So if you’re on a time crunch, this might not be the best option for you.) I received 5 items in my box out of which I legitimately liked 3 of them. However, I knew the FIT test would be the real determining factor in terms of what I ended up keeping.

THE COMPLETE REFORMATION JEANS REVIEW

When I saw that Reformation launched their denim line last fall, I got really excited! Especially because they offered petite sizes! (Lol us short girls know how tough it is to find jeans that aren’t too long.) Since this review has been super popular on my website, I decided to transition this review to cover all the main denim styles Reformation carries on a regular basis. Would love to hear your comments below about what styles are working for you guys.

WHERE TO FIND WHITE DENIM THIS SUMMER

One of my readers recently reached out about where to buy white jeans that actually fit and are not see through. Since I’ve had decent luck finding regular denim, I didn’t think my search would be too difficult. However, I was in for a surprise. Over the last two weeks, I went to store after store and tried brand after brand; and almost always encountered my classic pear problem - jeans that fit my thighs and rear, but were too big in the waist! (Sizing down never helps because then the thigh/rear area is too tight and uncomfortable.)

After comparing the measurements of all the styles I tried on, I noticed that jeans with a waist measurement of 30’’ or 31’’ were often the styles that were too big in the waist. (However, keep in mind though that the actual “cut” or “fit” of the jean is also a factor in whether or not they will fit you. So I'm only relying on one data point when I say this.) On average I noticed these waist measurements (30’’ or 31’’ ) were reoccurring theme when I look at the jeans that did not work for me. One thing that was not as much on an issue for me denim shopping this time was length. It seems that more and more brands are making ankle length jeans, which in petite world are regular length jeans for us.

While it was definitely a struggle to find white jeans that fit me - I promise that not all hope is lost. In this post, I’m sharing the white denim styles I recommend and which ones I’d stay away from. Also to make my product reviews easier to read, I’m introducing a scale that highlights the key attributes of each style so you can quickly know if it will work for you. So keep scrolling for all of your white denim needs.
