WHERE TO FIND PETITE, PEAR-FRIENDLY PEACOATS

It’s officially starting to feel like winter in New York. Just this week we’ve had some days in 30s. Eeek and today they are calling for snow! One of my fellow readers recently DM’ed me asking where to shop for winter coats so I’m sharing reviews of coats I tried from Express, Anne Klein, J. Crew, Lauren Ralph Lauren and a few other brands.

What makes coat shopping difficult for me is finding a coat that doesn’t overwhelm my height and one where the sleeves aren’t too long. When it comes to coat shopping, if you’re under 5’ 4’’ I definitely recommend buying a petite size because the proportions of the jacket will be better suited to your frame and hopefully you can avoid having to get the item tailored. Thankfully, I found a good amount of petite options out there so keep reading to see what I found :)

WHERE TO FIND DRESS PANTS WHEN YOU'RE PETITE & CURVY

It’s been awhile since I’ve had to wear dress pants. I probably have worn them since I was working at my first job out of college for Macy’s. Dress pants have always been a difficult category for me to shop for because of my curvy thighs and bum. At times I’ve found it challenging to find pairs that fit properly and are also flattering. (Also doesn’t help that I’m shortie too).

Recently, I had a reader reach out about where to find petite-friendly dress pants. Since I hadn’t shopped for a pair since college, I had to hit the stores to see what was out there. Overall, I had the best luck with J. Crew’s dress pants, which kind of made sense because that was my go-to store in the past. However, if you are looking for more affordable options - Old Navy is a great place to look.
