EVERLANE REVIEW - FALL ITEMS!

EVERLANE REVIEW - FALL ITEMS!

This fall Everlane has had a bunch of new product releases so I decided to go check them out and see which ones were the most petite friendly. Out of all their new releases I have to say their new bodysuits are my favorite! They are so incredibly soft and comfortable. Keep on reading to see all the items I tried on.

Everlane The Clean Silk Shine Oversized Shirt - Size 6

What could have been better…

  • Front body length too long - This blouse was way too long for me. It made me look even shorter than I already am.

  • Sleeves too long - Long story short (no pun intended!), this blose was too long on me in many ways. I found that the sleeves extended far past my wrists.

  • Slightly see through - I’d recommend wearing an undershirt or tank top underneath because I found this blouse was a little sheer.

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 28.25’’

Chest = 45’’

Bottom opening = 45’’

Sleeve length = 30.5’’

Bicep = 15.38’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Everlane The Clean Silk Short-Sleeve Square Shirt - Size 6

What I loved…

  • Length - Overall, the length was just right for me since I have a shorter torso.

  • Color - Really loved the color!

What could have been better…

  • Oversized - Since this blouse was really boxy, I found it emphasized my hip area more than I wanted.

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 23.5’’

Chest = 53’’

Bottom opening = 53’’

Sleeve opening = 15.5’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Everlane The Long-Sleeve Box-Cut Tee - Size M

What I loved…

  • Just the right length - This shirt was a nice length for my short torso. It seems to be more of a cropped length, so I’d recommend pairing it back to high waisted jeans or pants.

  • Classic silhouette - Such a great shirt to keep in your closet whenever you need a casual outfit.

What could have been better…

  • Sleeve length - The sleeves on this tee were a bit long for me, which you can see in the picture. (Sleeve length measurement = 30.13’’)

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 22.5’’

Chest width = 42’’

Bottom opening width = 42’’

Bicep width = 12.75’’

Sleeve length = 30.13’’

Verdict: Buy!

Everlane The Long Sleeve V-Neck Bodysuit - Size S

What I loved…

  • Sleeve length just right - Omg! The sleeve length was perfect, which is such a rarity for me.

  • Super comfy - The fabric of this body suit was incredibly soft. Also I found it had plenty of stretch and was very comfortable.

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 25.38’’

Chest = 29.5’’

Bicep = 10.5’’

Sleeve length = 29.38’’

Verdict: Buy!

Everlane The Clean Silk Boatneck Blouse - Size 6

What I loved…

  • Length - I found that this top was a nice length if you have a shorter torso.

What could have been better…

  • Too boxy - This silhouette wasn’t my favorite. I thought it looked kind of oversized and boring.

  • Sleeves too long - Similar to some of the other blouses I tried on, the sleeves were also too long on this top.

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 24’’

Chest = 41’’

Bottom opening = 42.5’’

Sleeve length = 30.63’’

Bicep = 13.88’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Everlane The Denim Jacket - Size S

What I loved…

  • Short torso friendly - If you are petite, I think you can pull of this jacket. I found the length worked for my frame.

What could have been better…

  • Too big, size down - Since this jacket is more of an oversized style, I found it was too big for me. I’m wearing a small, but I think the extra small would have worked better.

  • Sleeves too long - Unfortunately, the sleeves on this jacket were too long for me. They kind of swallowed my hands.

Garment measurements:

Body length = 23.25’’

Chest = 40.5’’

Bottom opening = 36.75’’

Sleeve length = 31.5’’

Sleeve opening = 10’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Everlane Italian GoWeave Classic Blazer - Size 6

What could have been better…

  • Too big in chest area - You can kind of tell from the picture that this blazer looks too roomy in the chest area. No surprise here since I’m pear shaped and my bust is on the smaller side.

  • Blazer length - Overall, I found this blazer was too long and made me look frumpy.

  • Sleeves too long - Same as the other styles above, the sleeves on this blazer were way too long for me.

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 26.75’’

Chest = 36.75’’

Bottom sweep straight = 40.75’’

Bicep = 13.25’’

Sleeve length = 31’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Everlane The Oversized Blazer - Size 4

What could have been better…

  • Runs big - I feel like it’s a bit of a waste of time to write a review of this blazer because the picture of me wearing it kind of says it all. This blazer definitely runs big. At first I tried on a Size 6, which is normal size, but it looked like I was swimming in fabric (even more so than the 4). I’d recommend going at least one size down if not more.

Garment measurements:

Front body length = 30.63’’

Chest = 41’’

Bottom opening = 42’’

Bicep = 13.38’’

Sleeve length = 32.13’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Everlane The Wide Leg Crop Pant  - Size 4

What I loved…

  • Fit - Overall, the fit of these pants was pretty good. They fit well through my hip and bum area.

What could have been better…

  • Waist slightly loose - These pants were a bit too big in the waist for me. I’d recommend wearing them with a belt.

  • Too long - The pair I tried on at the store was the regular length. However, GOOD NEWS, they carry the short length online. This length will be more petite friendly.

Garment measurements:

Waist = 28.25’’

Hip = 37.5’’

Thigh = 23.63’’

Knee = 21.88’’

Leg Opening = 21.8’’

Inseam = 26.5’’ (*Note: Short inseam is 24.5’’)

Verdict: Buy, but go for the short length if you’re petite.
