REFORMATION SWEATERS REVIEW

REFORMATION SWEATERS REVIEW

When I went to the Reformation store recently, much to my surprise I found out that they have sweaters. Unfortunately, they don’t carry petite sizes yet for sweaters. However, I did find that some of their sweaters worked for my short torso. Sharing all my thoughts on the styles I tried on below and crossing my fingers they’ll add petites at some point too.

Reformation Cashmere Crew Sweater - Size S

What I loved…

  • Just the right length - If you’ve got a short torso like me, then this sweater will work for you. I found it was a nice length for my proportions. (Front body length = 21.25’’)

  • Fit - Usually, I’m not the biggest fan of crewneck sweaters for my body type, but I really liked the fit of this sweater.

What could have been better…

  • Sleeves too long - I found these sleeves were a bit too long for me. However, you could definitely fold them up so they wouldn’t cover your wrists.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 39.5’’

Front body length = 21.25’’

Bottom opening = 29.5’’

Sleeve length = 30.5

Verdict: Buy, but fold the sleeves up.

Reformation Isabel Sweater  - Size S

What I loved…

  • Silhouette - Out of all the sweaters I tried on this was by far my favorite style! I found it such a fun, unique silhouette that I haven’t seen often.

What could have been better…

  • Slightly big in shoulders - Definitely recommend wearing this dress with a strapless bra because I found that my bra straps kept hanging out due to the way this sweater is cut. Also this sweater seemed to be a bit too big in the shoulder area.

  • Sleeves too long - Similar to the other sweaters above, the sleeves are too long. However, I was able to fold them up.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 29.5’’

Front body length = 21.33’’

Bottom opening = 29.5’’

Sleeve length = 31’’

Verdict: Buy, but fold the sleeves up.

Reformation Arden Sweater - Size M

What I loved…

  • Color - I really loved how this color complemented my hair color.

What could have been better…

  • Sleeves too long - This was a common theme across pretty much all the sweaters I tried on at Ref. You can tell in the picture that I folded the end of the sleeves up, but they still looked a little frumpy on me. (Sleeve length measurement = 34’’) However, I could have gone a size down and the might have helped. There was only a medium available in store, but a small likely would have worked better.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 42’’

Front body length = 21.13’’

Bottom = 30.5’’

Sleeve length = 34’’

Verdict: Buy!

Reformation Annie Cardigan - Size S

What I loved…

  • Length - Overall, this sweater was the perfect length for my short torso.

What could have been better…

  • Sleeves too long - I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but the sleeves were also too long on this sweater. I wasn’t able to fold them up because the cuffs were kind of short.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 39’’

Front body length = 21.5’’

Bottom opening = 28’’

Sleeve length = 33’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Reformation Fisherman Sweater - Size S

What I loved…

  • Just the right length - This sweater worked well for my short torso.

  • Style - I loved the cable details and design of this sweater. Very classic, but the color was fun and refreshing.

What could have been better…

  • Sleeves were slightly long - No different than the sweaters above, I found the sleeves were long for me.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 43’’

Front body length = 21.75’’

Bottom opening = 40’’

Sleeve length = 30’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.

Reformation Cashmere Boyfriend Sweater - Size S

What I loved…

  • Super soft - This sweater was really comfortable and cozy, but I felt like the cons outweighed the pros.

What could have been better…

  • Sleeves were way too long - Ok this sweater was probably the worst offender on the sleeve length front. Due to the style of the sweater, there’s no way to fold the sleeves up and have it look cute.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 44’’

Front body length = 23.25’’

Bottom opening = 47’’

Sleeve length = 32.25’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, shop around.
