EVERLANE AUTHENTIC STRETCH DENIM REVIEW

EVERLANE AUTHENTIC STRETCH DENIM REVIEW

After hearing rave reviews from my sister about Everlane’s Authentic Stretch denim, I decided to head to their store and try it on for myself. As someone who generally has a hard time finding jeans that fit, I was overall pretty impressed by their products. In addition to their Authentic Stretch jeans, Everlane also has their original denim line they launched prior to Authentic Stretch. Between the two lines, I was definitely a bigger fan of their Authentic Stretch styles because they fit me better in the waist. Sharing my thoughts below on a few of the styles!

MY DENIM RATING SCALE

Length: 1 to 5 (1 being not petite friendly, 5 being petite friendly)

Fit: 1 to 5  (1 being not curve/pear friendly, 5 being curve/pear friendly)

Waist Gap: 1 to 5 (1 massive waist gap, 5 no waist gap)

Price: $ to $$$$ ($ under $50, $$ under $100, $$$ under $150, $$$$ $150+)

Everlane Authentic Stretch High Rise Skinny Jean - Size 28 Ankle

What I loved…

  • Length - Everlane also offer this style in Regular and Tall lengths, but I opted for the Ankle length because it’s more petite friendly. (Inseam measurement = 26’’)

  • Comfy - Love that these jeans are a mix of cotton, modal, polyester and spandex because it makes them more comfortable and stretchy then a 98% cotton/2% spandex blend.

What could have been better…

  • Slight waist gap - These jeans were a little big in the waist, but it was not super noticeable. These jeans are super stretchy so they kind of form fit around your waist. However, I still would wear a belt with them.

Denim Ratings:

Length: 5

Fit: 5

Waist Gap: 4

Price: $$

Garment measurements:

Waist = 28’’

Front rise = 11’’

Back rise = 15.13’’

Inseam = 26.25’’

Verdict: Buy!

Everlane Authentic Stretch Mid Rise Skinny Jean - Size 28 Ankle

What I loved…

  • Nice-length & Comfy - Same thoughts here as the high rise jeans above! The only thing different about these jeans is the front rise.

What could have been better…

  • Too big in waist - Even though these jeans were stretchy, I still found there was a large waist gap in back. I’m not sure wearing a belt would help that much.

Denim Ratings:

Length: 5

Fit: 3

Waist Gap: 3

Price: $$

Garment measurements:

Waist = 28.5’’

Front rise = 9’’

Back rise = 14.25’’

Inseam = 26.25’’

Verdict: Don’t buy, recommend the high rise over this style.

Everlane High Rise Skinny Jean - Size 28 Ankle

What I loved…

  • Length - Similar to the Authentic stretchy jeans, Everlane offers three different lengths: Ankle, Regular and Tall. I’d recommend getting the Ankle because the length is better suited to petite women. (Inseam measurement = 26’’)

  • Wash - I loved the worn down look of this black denim. It’s a nice alternative to classic black jeans.

What could have been better…

  • Stiffer fabric - Compared to the Authentic Stretch jeans, these were not as comfy and stretchy. However, the fabric was still nice and soft.

  • Slightly big in waist - Since I had a slight waist gap in back wearing these jeans, I’d definitely need to wear a belt with them.
