THE GINGHAM PEPLUM TOP
Style Cliff Notes
Extended Style Notes
What I loved...
Peplum - It’s been awhile since I’ve bought a peplum top, but it’s one of go-to silhouettes because it’s so easy to wear.
High neckline - The neckline makes this top look very polished and I also love it because it shows off my shoulders/upper body. As I’ve written on my blog previously, a high neckline is great for pears because it highlights the smallness of the upper body relative to our curvy hips.
Print - Gingham has been everywhere this season! It’s a fun print that adds excitement to your outfit without being too over the top.
Seriously, no complaints about this top - it’s great! Beware though - do not put it in the dryer because I did and mine shrank a little bit :( Also didn’t measure it until after washing/drying it so these measurements are smaller than when I bought it!
Center front = 18.25''
Waist = 30''
Center back = 12''
What I loved…
High Rise - By now I’m sure you all know how much I love high rise pants! Since I have a pear-shaped figure and my waist is much narrower than my hips, usually once I find a pair of jeans that fits my hips/butt then they are too big in the waist. Wearing high rise jeans totally solves that problem that I normally encounter with mid/low rise jeans because they sit snuggly on my waist and don’t slide down.
What could be better…
Color - I would love the jeans even more if they were a darker shade of black. They have a more faded look to them than I would like, but the fit is amazIng so I bought them.
Waist = 27.5’’
Front Rise = 10’’
Inseam = 27’’
