Hi.

I'm Kristin! A short & curvy girl seeking clothes that fit. Originally from the South, I'm now taking on NYC! My blog is dedicated to providing style and fit guides for petite-pear shaped women.

Style Cliff Notes

Top – Ann Taylor (prior season)

Shorts – LOFT

Shoes – Vince Camuto

Purse – Zara

Sunglasses – Target

LOFT Scalloped Shorts – Size 4

What I loved…

  • Nice length - I’m a fan of these shorts because of the moderate length. They aren’t too short, but they don’t look too long like a camp counselor shorts either.  (Inseam = 4’’).
  • Scalloped hem – I love this feminine detail on these shorts. It instantly adds class to whatever top you’re wearing with them.
  • Mid rise- Even though these shorts are mid-rise, I didn’t run into a “waist gap” issue. (aka where the shorts fit your hips/thighs, but then there’s a huge gap between the waistband and your actual waist.)

Garment measurements:

Waist = 32''

Front rise = 9.75''

Inseam = 4''

Note: The top I'm wearing in this picture is actually from 4 years ago! I bought it the summer I interned in NYC. I'm definitely a believer in buying and keeping clothes for more than one season. When I go shopping I'm generally looking to buy pieces that are fashionable, but also have some longevity. This probably stems from the fact that I usually have a hard time finding clothes that fit, so when I do find great fitting garments I hold on tight!
