Hi.

I'm Kristin! A short & curvy girl seeking clothes that fit. Originally from the South, I'm now taking on NYC! My blog is dedicated to providing style and fit guides for petite-pear shaped women.

FALL '16 FASHION WEEK RECAP: THE HIGH NECKLINE

FALL '16 FASHION WEEK RECAP: THE HIGH NECKLINE

Why do I love this look for petite pears?

  • The High Neckline -  As a petite pear I like dresses and tops that highlight the smallness of my upper body while showing off my small waist and curvaceous hips at the same time.

Image 1 - Bottega Veneta

The lattice detail around the neckline of this dress is beautiful. The belt  is another great feature because it emphasizes the smallest part of the body (the waist).

Image 2 - Marchesa

I will most likely not have an occasion to wear this breathtaking dress too, but I wanted to share it for fun :)

Image 3 - Sophie Theallet

I love how the designer defined the waistline of this dress through print mixing.

Image 4 - Carolina Herrera

This dress looks like it's from a fairy tale with it's delicate beading on the front panel of the bodice. I love the feminine look of the flowy fabric too.

Image 5 - Alberta Ferretti

The black floral side panels on this dress have a very slimming effect on this high neckline dress. The designer was also able to achieve waist definition through the introduction of a third bronze color on this dress.

Image 6 - J. Mendel

This dress is stunning! I love this version of the high-neckline. The bronze beading and high side-slit take this look to the next level.

Image 7 - Rosie Assoulin

The asymmetrical hemline on this dress is a little much for me, but the emerald color and stain fabric look gorgeous.

Image 8 - Suno

In love with the green color of this dress and bold floral print. This dress is a great example of a casual version of this trend you could easily wear to dinner or a party.
