Hi.

I'm Kristin! A short & curvy girl seeking clothes that fit. Originally from the South, I'm now taking on NYC! My blog is dedicated to providing style and fit guides for petite-pear shaped women.

Extended Style Notes

Banana Republic Denim Pencil Skirt – Size 2 Petite

What I loved…

  • Shows off my curves - As I mentioned in a blog post back in September, I usually tend to shy away from clothes that overtly hug my curves. However, one of my goals is to start embracing my curves more and that starts with wearing clothes that flaunt my shape.
  • Just the right length – I was happy that Banana Republic carried this skirt in a petite size. When it comes to pencil skirts, I like to wear ones that fall above my knee so they don’t overwhelm my shorter stature.
  • Size down - This skirt runs large so I was able to size down. I ended up buying a Size 2 Petite, but normally I wear a Size 6 Petite.

Garment measurements:

Waist = 30''

Center front = 17''

Center back = 17.75''

 Style & Co Turtleneck Sweater - Size S Petite

What I loved…

  • Tuck it in – One of my favorite styling tricks for my pear-shaped body is tucking in my shirt so I can show off the narrowness of my waist.
  • Stripes - I love how retro inspired this sweater feels! The stripes give it such a 70s vibe.

What could be better…

  • A little long - Even though this turtleneck sweater is a petite size, I found it was a little long for me since I have a short torso.

Garment measurements:

Bust = 30''

Center front = 24.13''

Center back = 25.13''
