Hi.

I'm Kristin! A short & curvy girl seeking clothes that fit. Originally from the South, I'm now taking on NYC! My blog is dedicated to providing style and fit guides for petite-pear shaped women.

Extended Style Notes

Old Navy V-Neck Sweater - Size S

What I loved…

  • V-Neckline -  As a girl with a small bust, I usually opt for V-necklines because they accentuate what I got! (V-neck drop = 6.75’’)
  •  Not too long - Old Navy doesn’t sell petite sizes in their store. They only offer them online so I just bought this sweater in a regular size. Much to my surprise and delight, the length was perfect for me! (Center front = 23.5’’)
  • Not too snug on the hips - When a sweater is too long one me, it usually also means that it’s snug around my hips. Since this sweater fit me well length wise, I did not have this problem.

What could be better…

  • Sleeves are slightly too long - Since this sweater is not a petite size, I found that the sleeves were a little long on me (Sleeve length = 29.5’’).

Garment measurements:

Center front= 23.5’’

Center back = 24.5’’

Seat = 19.87’’

Sleeve length = 29.5’’

V-neck drop = 6.75’’

 H&M Leather Skirt - Size 8

What I loved…

  • A-Line silhouette -  By now you guys are well aware of my obsession with A-line skirts because they are flattering for petite pears. This silhouette highlights the narrowest part of my body (my waist) and flares out to complement my curvy hips.
  • Length -  I like the length of this A-Line mini better compared to the Reformation mini I posted about previously because it’s more work place friendly. (H&M skirt: Center front  = 17.5’’ vs Reformation: Center front = 15’’).
  • Faux leather -  Love this look right now!

What could be better...

  •  A little tight in the hips -  This skirt is a little tight in the hips (Hips = 37’’) and potentially could create the dreaded ripple effect.  I make sure I wear this skirt as high on my waist as possible to prevent that from happening.

Garment measurements:

Center front = 17.5’’

Waist = 29’’

Hip = 37’’
